CoEd Varsity Golf
Lake Braddock Golf North Myrtle Beach Trip 2014
Dates: Thursday August 14 – Saturday August 16
We are planning to travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina this summer! This trip will not be a formal competitive event but an opportunity to practice and play at some of the finest golf courses on the east coast.
Here are some of the important details:
Each golfer will be responsible for arranging their transportation down and back from South Carolina along with transportation throughout the trip. Each player must be accompanied by an adult at all times during transportation. Each golfer will need to have transportation from the hotel to the golf course each day. We will not provide a bus or van to transport the golfers while in Myrtle. Golfers may join up with other families.
Each golfer will be required to stay with a family member or another teammates family members for the duration of trip. We will suggest some hotels to stay in that are near the courses but it is not mandatory. A golfer may stay with another golfer’s family in the hotel.
Families will be expected to provide funds for the trip. Family members are encouraged to attend the trip and play golf with the players and coaches. Each adult that plays in Myrtle can have a golfer play for free (16 year old and younger golfers play for free). The more adults playing the better!
We will meet up Wednesday afternoon to check in and touch base at a pre-determined location in Myrtle. Golf team members will be expected to arrive at the course in time to check in and warm-up prior to the first tee time. Here is the tentative schedule:
5 pm. We will meet for dinner and plan the three days of golf.
Open our golf three day excursion with 18 holes at Aberdeen County Club.
Open day two of the excursion with 18 holes at Aberdeen County Club.
We will have breakfast and then play 18 holes at TBA.
Outside golf expectations, families are encouraged to take advantage of the Myrtle Beach area.
We must plan this trip prior to selecting the 2014 Co-ed golf team at Lake Braddock. If you plan to attend the Myrtle Beach trip, it does not guarantee a roster spot on the Co-ed Lake Braddock Golf team for the 2014 fall season.
This trip is not a mandatory activity. This a chance to get away from Northern Virginia and experience three or four nice golf courses as we prepare for our season.
