Distance Info for Memorial Weekend

heres some info for the weekend....
Today (Saturday)- easy day of 20-25 mins...
Sunday- OFF day, swim if youd like, nothing too crazy
Monday- 30-35 mins ... I'd like to meet at some point probably in the morning or afternoon just to touch base with everyone and see how we're all feeling. i was thinking 10-11? let me know if this works or not.

Girls Track Captures District Title, Boys Finish 2nd
Posted on: Friday, May 14, 2010On Thursday, May 14, the Lady Bruins outdoor track and field team captured the team title over South County with a score of 154.5 to 136.
Strong performances were turned in across the board for the Lady Bruins as seven girls earned individual district crowns and one relay won a district title. Senior Ericka Roberts claimed both sprint titles in the 100m and 200m dashes. Senior Megan Bumgarner took home district title in the High Jump and 100m Hurdles. Senior Mady Essimi-Menye took home gold in the Discus and freshman Sophie Chase fnished first in the 1600m and 800m runs. The girls 4x400m Relay consisting of freshmen Laura Grable, Kayla Ball and Sophie Chase and junior Casey Lardner crossed the line first to ensure the Lady Bruins' win.
The boys team finished second to Annandale by a score of 124 to 98. The Bruin Boys, slated to finish 4th in the district were also led by a number of strong performances from many members of the team. Senior Matt Hoogland won the pole vault with a jump of 14' 6" also setting a new district record in the process. Senior Christian Collier was the winner in the Long Jump with a leap of 21' 7.75." Senior Alan Flowers turned in two runner-up performances in the High Jump and Triple Jump as well. The boys 4x1 and 4x8 also qualified for Regional competition, placing third in each race.
The Bruin track teams will be host to the Northern Region Championship on May 27 and 28. Come out and support your Bruins as they compete for the Northern Region title!
2010 Outdoor Track Information
Posted on: Friday, January 22, 2010Information and paperwork packets will be handed out for the 2010 Outdoor Track and Field season on Thursday, January 28, outside the concession stand in the gym lobby from 2:10-2:40pm.
The information packet will also be available through this web site. It can be found on the CoEd Varstiy Track page under Team Files. Please download a copy if you wish.
The first day of practice will be Monday, February 22, outside the weight room in the gym lobby. Athletes are expected to have the proper paper work completed and ready to turn it, and athletes must have long pants and long sleeves to wear for practice.
Athletes who have played either a fall or winter sport DO NOT need to have a new VHSL Physical. However, ALL athletes who DID NOT participate in Indoor Track, will need to hand in a new Emergency Care Card. Emergency Care Cards can be found on most FCPS web sites, or can be picked up in the Lake Braddock activities office or in the clinic.
